Young minds are catalysts for change
For 19% of the world’s children and youth India is their home, and they are 42% of the country’s total population. In two decades the responsibility of running a great country like India, lies on their shoulders.
· Are they ready to shoulder this responsibility?
· Are our children being prepared to run the world's largest democracy?
· As adults are we equipping our children to participate in democratic processes?
To engender a generation of responsible citizens it is imperative to inculcate in the child, ideals of democracy, equality, justice and peace. Also, it is the responsibility of adults in the society to enlighten the children and youth. START is this seed of democracy that will be sown and planted into the fertile minds. Given the right environment to germinate this thought, this small seed will grow into a tree that will stand its ground and spread the values of peace, equality, liberty and democracy. As John F Keneddy apty put it "The unity of freedom has never relied on the uniformity of opinion".
